BYD India Launches the eMAX 7

The BYD eMAX 7 has launched in India at INR 26,90,000 (ex-showroom). It offers two variants with battery options of 71.8 kWh (530 km range) and 55.4 kWh (420 km range) and comes in 6- and 7-seater configurations.

New Delhi- BYD India Private Limited., a subsidiary of New Energy Vehicles (NEV) manufacturer BYD, has launched India’s first 6- and 7-seater electric MPV, the BYD eMAX 7. This innovative vehicle aims to revolutionize family mobility, catering to progressive and eco-conscious families. The eMAX 7 builds on the success of the BYD e6, featuring advanced performance and an integrated 8-in-1 electric powertrain from BYD's acclaimed e-platform 3.0. It is now available at BYD's exclusive showrooms across India.

The BYD eMAX 7 is available in two variants, Superior and Premium, each offering 6- and 7-seater options. The Superior variant features a 71.8 kWh battery, providing a range of 530 km, while the Premium variant has a 55.4 kWh battery, offering 420 km of range (NEDC tested). The Superior variant accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds, with the Premium achieving the same in 10.1 seconds. With a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, it ensures a comfortable ride for all passengers. To enhance peace of mind, BYD offers a comprehensive warranty, including 8 years or 160,000 kilometers for the traction battery and 8 years or 150,000 kilometers for the motor and motor controller.

The BYD eMAX 7 features a striking design with sleek aerodynamic lines and an imposing dragon-face front fascia, complemented by Crystal Diamond Floating LED headlights and dynamic 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin combines modern aesthetics with ergonomic comfort, showcasing a luxurious black and brown two-tone interior. The spacious design includes front ventilated seats, a 12.8-inch rotatable infotainment display, a 5-inch advanced instrument cluster, and a wireless phone charger. An expansive 1.42 sqm panoramic glass roof enhances the feeling of space, while the third-row seats fold to create 580 liters of boot space, with a 60:40 split option for added versatility.

BYD eMAX 7 aims to set a new standard in the electric MPV market, offering advanced technology, sustainability, and safety. Available in four exterior colors—Quartz Blue, Cosmos Black, Crystal White, and Harbour Grey—it promises an impressive driving range and a personalized experience for modern, eco-conscious families.

The Blade Battery's unique design improves heat transfer and reduces collision risks, while the integrated powertrain combines eight essential components for optimized space and performance.

Equipped with driver assistance features like 6 airbags, ABS, and ADAS, the eMAX 7 is a safe family car. Its VTOL (Vehicle to Load) technology supports outdoor activities by powering additional equipment. For comfort, the vehicle includes dedicated AC vents for all three rows, multiple charging ports, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker sound system, voice assistance, keyless entry, and automatic air conditioning, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable ride.

Pricing for Premium variant with a 55.4 kWh battery is priced at ₹26.90 lakh (6-seater) and ₹27.50 lakh (7-seater). The Superior variant with a 71.8 kWh battery costs ₹29.30 lakh (6-seater) and ₹29.90 lakh (7-seater).
