BYD India Opens Bookings for SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition

New Delhi - BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, a New Energy Vehicle manufacturer, has opened bookings for the BYD SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition, celebrating an important milestone for its flagship electric performance SUV in India.

As part of its First Anniversary Offer, BYD India is extending a range of exclusive benefits to the first 1,100 customers of the SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition. These include a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation and two years of free service and maintenance. Customers will also receive an upgraded ownership package with a segment-first Low Voltage Battery (LVB) built on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) technology, covered by an enhanced 8-year/150,000 km warranty, compared to the standard 6-year/150,000 km coverage. The High Voltage Battery continues to be backed by BYD’s standard 8-year/160,000 km warranty, underlining the brand’s focus on safety, dependability, and long-term customer value.

The First Anniversary Edition also debuts an exclusive Tahiti Blue interior theme, adding a fresh and sophisticated touch to the cabin while preserving the SEALION 7’s signature ocean-inspired design language.

Since making its India debut at Bharat Expo 2025, the BYD SEALION 7 has received a strong market response and has quickly established itself as one of the leading models in the premium electric SUV segment. The model has already crossed 2,500 units in sales in India, reflecting rising demand for premium EVs that offer performance, advanced technology, and everyday usability.

Positioned as a pure-performance electric SUV, the BYD SEALION 7 combines ocean-inspired styling with advanced engineering. It features BYD’s Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control (iTAC) and Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, which integrates the Blade Battery directly into the chassis structure to improve safety, vehicle dynamics, and cabin space.

The SUV is powered by an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery and is offered in Premium and Performance variants. The Performance variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the Premium variant completes the sprint in 6.7 seconds. In terms of range, the SEALION 7 delivers up to 542 km in the Performance trim and 567 km in the Premium version, based on the NEDC cycle.

Designed by BYD Global Design Director Wolfgang Egger, the SEALION 7 stands out with flowing aerodynamic lines and the distinctive “Ocean X” front fascia inspired by BYD’s ocean design philosophy. Inside, the SUV offers a premium cabin experience with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, and 128-colour ambient lighting. Other notable features include a panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade and a refined cabin engineered to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness.

The feature list further includes a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, ventilated and heated seats, and 50W wireless phone charging. It also comes equipped with an intelligent electric tailgate and Vehicle-to-Load (VTOL) functionality, allowing the vehicle to power external electronic devices when needed.

The BYD SEALION 7 has also earned significant industry recognition for its design, innovation, and performance. It was named Premium EV of the Year at the car&bike 2026 Awards and won Premium SUV of the Year 2025 at the TV9 Auto Awards. It also received recognition in the Luxury Midsize SUV category at the ACKO Drive Awards 2026 – TOTM. Further strengthening BYD’s credentials, the model won Best EV Design at the CarBike360 Awards, while BYD’s Blade Battery technology received Best New EV Battery Technology recognition. At the Jagran HiTech Evolution Bharat Conclave & Awards 2026, BYD was also honoured with the Pioneer in Battery Technology Award.

With the launch of the SEALION 7 First Anniversary Edition, BYD India continues to expand its premium EV portfolio while offering innovative technology and stronger ownership benefits to customers.
