Date: June 5, 2025Gabon, Africa- BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd., has officially launched its operations in Gabon, marking a significant milestone in its African expansion. The launch was held in collaboration with LOXEA, a subsidiary of CFAO Mobility, during a brand unveiling event at the BYD Showroom in the Oloumi Industrial Zone. The event drew a strong turnout, including government officials, industry leaders, and media representatives. Among the dignitaries in attendance was Gninga Chaning Zenaba, Gabon’s Minister of Entrepreneurship, Trade and SMEs.
At the launch, BYD introduced two of its leading electric vehicles: the BYD ATTO 3 and the BYD DOLPHIN. The ATTO 3 stands out with its aerodynamic design and a low drag coefficient of just 0.29 Cd, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds. The BYD DOLPHIN, a 2024 World Urban Car award top-three finalist, combines intelligent features, high safety standards, and excellent energy efficiency, offering a compelling option for urban mobility.
These models represent BYD’s commitment to delivering eco-friendly, low-emission transportation solutions tailored to the needs of Gabonese consumers. The launch aligns with Gabon’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability through its Green Economic Transformation Plan.
