Cheshire, UK- Tiger Trailers Limited., articulated HGV semi-trailer and rigid truck bodywork manufacturers, has delivered 37 trailers to Carlsberg Britvic to support the drinks group’s primary logistics operation, replacing older vehicles.

The order comprises three fixed double-deck trailers with wraparound rear curtains and 34 single-deck curtainsider trailers. Sarah Perry, VP Customer Supply Chain at Carlsberg Britvic, said the business was drawn to Tiger’s reputation for build quality and customer service, and also praised its sustainability initiatives, including investments in energy efficiency, planting one tree for every trailer ordered, and community road-safety activities.

The fleet will primarily transport bottles and cans, with some duties involving larger-format loads including kegs and casks. Deliveries will support internal sites, national and regional distribution centres, wholesalers, supermarkets, and venues such as larger festivals and sports grounds.

The three Hobgoblin-branded double-deck trailers include a fixed three-quarter-length main deck rated at 10 tonnes with Expamet steel flooring for added durability, plus a second fixed deck above the neck area rated at 4 tonnes. Cargo restraint is provided by full-height side nets and transverse netting enabled by under-deck tracks. Carlsberg Britvic also specified a number of safety and durability enhancements, including flush-fitting rear doors, additional grab handles and straps, galvanised components and extra buffers.

Mr. Thomas Stott, Key Account Director at Tiger Trailers, said the company was pleased to welcome Carlsberg Britvic as a customer and will support the operation with its aftercare services.

The 37 trailers entered Carlsberg Britvic’s network via its Burton-on-Trent site. The double-deck units will work between internal secondary depots, while the single-deck trailers will be deployed nationwide from Scotland to Cornwall joining a primary logistics fleet of 50 tractor units, 120 trailers and eight tankers.
