CATL and NIO Enter Into Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

CATL and NIO signed a five-year comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in the city of Ningde, Southeast China's Fujian Province.

Ningde, China- Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL)., and NIO Inc., signed a five-year comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in the city of Ningde, Southeast China's Fujian Province. Wei Zhu, executive president of passenger vehicle business unit of CATL, and Alan Zeng, senior vice president of NIO, signed the agreement. Dr. Robin Zeng, founder, chairman and CEO of CATL, and William Li, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, attended the signing ceremony. 

The strategic alliance between CATL and NIO is strengthened even further by the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will strengthen supply-demand coordination, drive international expansion, create a business model centered on long-life batteries, and expand technological cooperation in new projects, markets, and brands. 

In order to create an efficient and harmonious battery supply system and enhance innovation capabilities and efficiency based on cutting-edge battery technology, CATL and NIO will keep utilizing their respective resource advantages. This will give smart electric vehicle users a more enjoyable driving experience.
