Maharashtra- Celcius Logistics Solutions Pvt Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Switch Mobility, the electric vehicle division of Ashok Leyland, to deploy 350 electric light commercial reefer (eLCV) trucks—marking India’s largest-ever order and the first large-scale rollout of such vehicles.

Valued at ₹100 crore, the partnership includes investment not only in vehicles but also in supporting infrastructure such as charging stations, parking facilities, and driver training programs. Celcius has already deployed 100 trucks and plans to roll out the remaining 250 by the end of FY26.

This collaboration also launches Celcius Green, a new vertical dedicated to building a zero-emission cold logistics network. With an initial investment of ₹50 crore, Celcius Green will provide end-to-end electric temperature-controlled transportation for products like dairy, pharmaceuticals, seafood, and frozen food. Each 3.5-ton Switch Mobility truck can maintain temperatures from –25°C to +25°C and offers a range of about 140 km on a single charge.

Mr. Swarup Bose, Founder & CEO of Celcius Logistics, said, “This MoU is a pivotal moment for India’s cold logistics sector. Through Celcius Green, we’re advancing towards a cleaner, smarter, and future-ready cold chain ecosystem. This is not just sustainability it’s the next evolution of logistics in India.”

Mr. Ganesh Mani, CEO of Switch Mobility, said, “This first and largest 3.5-ton EV reefer order in India demonstrates how sustainability and efficiency can work together. The SWITCH IeV Series EV reefer ensures reliable cooling performance even when idling, maintaining freshness across frozen, chilled, and fresh categories.”

The first phase of Celcius Green’s rollout will begin in New Delhi, followed by Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The company aims for ₹50 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in its first year, scaling up to ₹250 crore within five years.

Celcius also plans to invest an additional ₹100–150 crore in developing EV-ready cold-storage hubs and charging infrastructure along key logistics corridors. Each truck will feature GPS tracking, smart temperature sensors, and predictive maintenance systems to ensure zero downtime and complete traceability, reinforcing the company’s vision for a sustainable and efficient cold-chain network.
