CLAAS FARMPOINT Opens New Location Near Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Serve Local Farmers
Date: December 17, 2024
Harsewinkel, Germany - CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery company, expands FARMPOINT to Webster County, Iowa. Starting in the new year 2025, CLAAS customers in the Fort Dodge, Iowa area will have access to a new FARMPOINT location, situated on highly productive cropland. The mobile-first, technology-driven dealership owned by CLAAS has signed a lease agreement on a temporary location in Barnum, IA and already has its first three experienced technicians hired to support area farmers.
Mr. Eric Raby, Senior Vice President of CLAAS Americas Region, said, “In August we held a town-hall meeting with the CLAAS customers in central Iowa. The feedback we received was clear: Come, and come quickly. The temporary location allows us to set up shop now, while we work on a permanent location targeting the I-35 corridor. We will be finishing out the Barnum location this winter; stocking it with parts while we get our service trucks and parts delivery vehicles ready before farmers can get their equipment back in the fields. We are committed to providing world-class service to our customers in Iowa and this is just the first step. More locations will be added in the near future.”
CLAAS customers will continue receiving service on their combines from Ziegler through the end of 2025 as part of the transition plan. The opening of new CLAAS FARMPOINT locations in Barnum and Le Mars, Iowa, along with Porter’s Ag Solutions in Earlham, certified to service CLAAS combines, are strengthening the dealer network and ensuring ongoing support for Iowa farmers.
CLAAS FARMPOINT will enhance product selection, now offering the full range of CLAAS tractors, JAGUAR forage harvesters, and a variety of balers and hay tools, in addition to LEXION and TRION combines. Unlike traditional dealerships, CLAAS FARMPOINT will focus on bringing dealership services directly to the farm.
