Hannover, Germany - CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has launched its new AXION 9 large tractor series at Agritechnica, offering power ranges from 330 to 450 hp. The series introduces enhanced comfort, automation, and efficiency for large farms and contractors.
The AXION 9 features a redesigned, noise-reduced cab with 3 cubic metres of space, premium seating, advanced lighting, and integrated cameras. Powered by the latest Cursor 9 six-cylinder engines from FPT, the tractors deliver high torque (1,571–1,850 Nm) with fuel-saving technologies such as dynamic AUTO DROOP and idle speed reduction. Engines are HVO-approved, cutting carbon emissions by up to 90%.
CLAAS’s CMATIC continuously variable transmission comes with predictive drivetrain management, including Auto Load Anticipation for fuel-efficient, stable operation. AXION 9 TERRA TRAC versions provide up to 50% more ground contact, soil protection, and versatility, with reinforced tracks and optional CTIC tyre pressure control.
The new CEBIS connect terminal integrates GPS PILOT, ISOBUS, and CLAAS connect for automated guidance, field documentation, and fleet management. In 2026, the tractors will support Autonomy Level 2 through the AgXeed VCU, enabling fully automated field operations with obstacle avoidance and task execution while the operator monitors from the cab.
Maintenance is simplified with extended intervals and a central lubrication system, reducing downtime by up to 50%. CLAAS offers MAXI CARE FOCUS (5 years/5,000 hours) and MAXI CARE PROTECT (up to 8 years/8,000 hours) warranties to secure operating costs.
The AXION 9 series sets a new benchmark in comfort, connectivity, and automation for modern agriculture.
