Bad Saulgau, Germany – CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its range of large-scale mowers with the new DISCO 1100 DIRECT SWATHER, offering a working width of up to 10.70 m and the ability to create swaths up to 21 m in combination with the four-rotor LINER 4800 swather.
Building on the success of the DISCO 9300 DIRECT SWATHER, the new model provides maximum flexibility with four placement strategies: full wide spreading, centre swath, “21 on 13” combined swath/wide spreading, and one-sided swathing.
Designed to operate without a conditioner, the DISCO 1100 DIRECT SWATHER can be powered by tractors from 220 hp, making it economical and suitable for crops ranging from green rye to lucerne. Conical swath augers ensure smooth, blockage-free crop flow, while hydraulically adjustable swath curtains and swivel augers allow precise placement for optimal wilting and harvesting efficiency.
The mower features telescopic booms for infinitely variable working width adjustment, MAX CUT mower bars for clean cuts at low PTO speeds, and ACTIVE FLOAT ground pressure for crop and soil protection. ISOBUS-enabled BUSINESS operation allows semi-automated control, including slope adaptation and automatic overload protection.
With its combination of high capacity, fuel efficiency, and operator comfort, the DISCO 1100 DIRECT SWATHER is designed to streamline large-scale forage harvesting while protecting both the crop and the soil.
