Le Mans, France – CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has started series production of the new AXION 9 CMATIC and ARION 6.190 CMATIC tractors at its Le Mans manufacturing facility, reinforcing the company’s focus on expanding its global tractor business.

Since acquiring the plant in 2003, more than 200,000 tractors have been produced at the site. CLAAS has invested over €80 million in the facility and the nearby Trangé test centre, introducing digital manufacturing technologies, automated guided vehicles, and upgraded assembly systems to enhance efficiency and working conditions.

Production of the AXION 9 CMATIC tractors began in January 2026, including the AXION 9.450 TERRA TRAC, winner of the Tractor of the Year 2026 – HighPower Category. The ARION 6.190 CMATIC, first showcased at Agritechnica, is scheduled to enter production in May 2026.

The Le Mans plant is now one of the most advanced tractor manufacturing facilities globally and will continue to play a key role in CLAAS’ future tractor development and production strategy.
