Pune - CNH Industrial N.V., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, is strengthening farm mechanization across the country with advanced agricultural machinery designed and manufactured at its Pune facility. Spread across 280,000 square metres, the plant produces sugarcane harvesters, cab combines, small square balers, tractors, headers, cabs, and other implements for domestic and global markets.
The Pune manufacturing unit is equipped with advanced fabrication lines, automated paint systems, structured assembly operations, and stringent testing protocols. These capabilities enable the company to deliver fuel-efficient, durable machines engineered specifically for Indian soils and farming conditions. In 2023, the facility introduced India’s first TREM-V emission stage-compliant sugarcane harvester, further reinforcing CNH’s technology leadership. The company holds over 50% market share in the sugarcane harvester and small square baler segments and leads the cab combine harvester segment in India.
Mr. Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director of CNH India, said, “The Pune plant is a key part of our operations in India and reflects our commitment to advancing farm mechanization. Modern machinery helps farmers improve productivity, save time, and farm more sustainably. Our sugarcane harvesters, combine harvesters, and balers are efficient, reliable, and designed specifically for Indian farms.”
CNH India promotes skill development through training in drones, digital tools, sustainable sugarcane cultivation, and crop residue management. The Pune plant has earned safety awards and IGBC certification while supporting local communities. With mechanization still low in India, the facility plays a key role in helping farmers and agri-entrepreneurs improve productivity.
