CNH Enhances Construction Equipment with New Engine Plant

Greater Noida - CNH Industrial N.V., a construction equipment manufacturer, has officially commenced production at its new engine manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, marking a major milestone in the company’s focus on innovation and localization.

The state-of-the-art plant produces the advanced 2.8L Trem V engine (F28), engineered to deliver high performance and efficiency across CNH’s construction equipment portfolio. Localizing this globally renowned engine in India provides a reliable and tailored solution for the domestic market.

The 2.8L engine is produced under license from FPT Industrial, the powertrain subsidiary of the Iveco Group, reflecting the strong collaboration between the two companies in advancing innovative and sustainable powertrain technologies. Its compact design, suitable for under-hood applications, enhances engine balance, reduces vibration, and minimizes friction, leading to superior fuel efficiency.

Located on CNH’s 60-acre Greater Noida campus, the 7,000-square-meter engine plant is designed for scalable production, with an annual capacity of up to 20,000 units. Currently, the Trem V-compliant 2.8L F28 engine is manufactured for construction equipment in line with CEV V standards, with plans to extend production to agricultural machinery once TREM V emission regulations come into effect. The facility integrates advanced digital and AI-driven technologies, including an enhanced operator guidance system and robotic component cleaning, ensuring precision, efficiency, and consistent quality.
