London, UK - CNH Industrial N.V., an agricultural machinery company, has appointed Mr. Luis Abreu as Chief Information Officer (CIO). In his new role, he joins the CNH’s Global Leadership Team (GLT), responsible for advancing CNH strategic priorities to ensure profitable long-term growth worldwide.
Mr. Abreu brings over 20 years of experience with CNH and its predecessor companies. He began his career in IT in 2005 at Iveco (now part of Iveco Group), where he progressively took on roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as Acting CIO. His extensive background in the industry has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge in driving technological advancements. Mr. Abreu holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and an MBA in Project Management from Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Brazil, further reinforcing his expertise in the field.
Mr. Gerrit Marx, Chief Executive Officer at CNH, said, "Luis’s global and regional expertise with our IT organization ideally positions him for this role. Since August 2024, he has been working as Acting CIO, and we are confident in his ability to further advance our IT organization. Mr. Abreu has held a series of progressively senior IT roles, each with increasing levels of responsibility across various regions and functions. His notable positions include serving as CIO for North America from 2022 to 2024, Global Head of Supply Chain IT Support from 2021 to 2024, and CIO for Latin America from 2019 to 2022.
Additionally, he has served as Global Manager for End User & Executive Services (2017-2021), Information System Security Officer for Latin America (2013-2019), Argentina IT Country Manager (2015-2018), and Latin America Manager for End User & Executive Services (2013-2015). Through these roles, Mr. Abreu has consistently demonstrated leadership and a deep understanding of IT strategy on a global scale.
