Munich, Germany – Combilift Ltd., a material handling solutions company, has officially unveiled its pioneering self-propelled inloader, the COMBi-SPI, at Bauma 2025. This much-anticipated launch represents a significant leap forward in the transportation of high loads, such as precast concrete, wall panels, and glass A-frames, within production facilities and yard environments.
The COMBi-SPI driven by the need for an efficient, highly maneuverable, and cost-effective alternative to traditional trailers and trucks. Combilift's goal was to design a versatile machine capable of handling 30-tonne loads on industry-standard inloader pallets, while offering superior visibility, agility, and ease of operation.
The COMBi-SPI is designed for unmatched performance with a range of advanced features. Its side-facing cab provides operators with an excellent view of both the load and the direction of travel, enhancing safety and operational precision. The sliding load supports along the chassis are adjustable to accommodate varying load lengths and heights during transport The 300mm ground clearance makes it adaptable to various environments, from concrete to gravel yards, ensuring reliable performance in diverse conditions.
Power options include electric (with an interchangeable battery system), diesel, and LPG versions, offering flexibility to suit different operational needs. Equipped with large solid tires, the inloader is built for durability and efficient yard maintenance. Additionally, its compact yet powerful design features a short chassis that improves load support, lowers the center of gravity, and enhances maneuverability, especially within tight production facility spaces.
Mr. Josh Moffett, Heavy Equipment Manager at Combilift, said, “This project showcases Combilift’s commitment to innovation and customer-driven design. We’ve leveraged decades of expertise in specialised transport machinery to develop a state-of-the-art solution that meets the evolving needs of the concrete and glass industries.”
With its unparalleled maneuverability and fast operational speed, the COMBi-SPI redefines yard logistics by eliminating the need for multiple trailers and shunters. This, in turn, boosts operational efficiency and reduces costs for businesses handling oversized and heavy loads.
