Eindhoven, Netherlands- DAF Trucks N.V., a truck manufacturer, has delivered 33units of XD 350 FT 4x2 electric trucks to Contargo GmbH & Co. KG, a logistics company based in Mannheim. These trucks will be used to transport containers across Contargo’s 25 terminals in Germany, France, and Switzerland. Includes nearly 100 fully electric trucks, showing the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Michael Starke, Managing Director of Contargo Truck Fleet, said, “This is a key step in expanding zero-emission transport. The trucks combine efficiency, safety, and comfort, making daily operations easier for drivers.” Contargo plans to become fully CO₂-neutral by 2045.
The DAF XD Electric trucks feature PACCAR electric motors delivering 170–350 kW (230–480 hp) and modular battery packs ranging from 210–525 kWh. Each truck has five battery packs, providing a zero-emission range of over 500 km. With excellent visibility, a spacious cabin, and a comfortable sleeper bed, these trucks are ideal for city, regional, and long-distance transport.
