Germany- Daimler Truck, Leinfelden-Echterdingen – Raghavendra Vaidya has been appointed as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Daimler Truck, effective June 1, 2025. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s IT operations, spearheading innovation and supporting growth across the organization. Vaidya succeeds Marcus Claesson, who is departing the company at his own request.

With a career spanning over 25 years in various IT positions he brings a wealth of experience and know-how, strategic vision and leadership to his new role to lead our company into a rapidly evolving data-driven future.”
Raghavendra Vaidya currently serves as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Daimler Truck Innovation Center India (DTICI), where he oversees all IT operations in the region. He joined the former Daimler AG in 2016 as Senior Vice President of IT at Merces-Benz Research and Development India. Prior to that, he held several leadership roles across various business divisions at General Electric. Vaidya holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from R.V. College of Engineering in Bangalore and a Master of Technology in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.
Marcus Claesson has chosen to leave the company to pursue new opportunities. During his time with Daimler Truck, he played a key role in driving the company’s growth and technological progress.
