Daimler's FUSO updates the Canter with new safety features, a redesigned interior, and enhanced comfort for 6.0, 7.5, and 8.55-tonne models, starting production in Europe in late summer 2024.

In the all-new Canter (for the 6.0 tonnes, 7.5 tonnes and 8.55 tonnes) thus been updated with new safety and comfort features and a redesigned interior. Production for European markets starts in late summer 2024.

Since its market launch in 1963, over 4.5 million FUSO Canters have been produced worldwide. We are delighted to now offer our customers a significant upgrade in terms of safety and comfort." The new model will be produced for European markets starting in late summer 2024.
The updated Canter features a redesigned cabin similar to the eCanter, with a modern look and functional new equipment. Highlights include a 6.95-inch touchscreen radio with DAB+, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, and a multifunction steering wheel for controlling the new digital LCD instrument panel. The cabin retains its low noise level, good visibility, low entry height, and easy step-through access.
The updated Canter now features a robust plastic fuel tank, external storage for tools, and a standard fleet management interface. It includes eight new or improved safety systems with additional sensors and cameras, including Active Brake Assist 6, Blind Spot Information System, Front Protection Assist, Attention Assist, Intelligent Speed Assistance, a rear-view camera, tire pressure monitoring, and an emergency stop signal. An alcohol immobilizer interface is also standard.
The 2024 eCanter adds cruise control, sequential LED turn signals, and expands from 42 to 46 variants with three battery configurations and new chassis options. This allows for diverse applications, including crane and pallet truck superstructures.
