Kolkata - Desi Machines., an independent comparison platform for heavy machinery, has officially launched as a digital-first platform dedicated to simplifying how construction, earthmoving, mining, and heavy engineering equipment is discovered, compared, and purchased particularly in India’s rapidly growing Tier II, III, IV, and V cities.

The platform, DesiMachines.com, addresses one of the industry’s most pressing challenges: lack of access to clear, transparent, and unbiased information for machinery buyers in non-metro regions. Traditionally, equipment purchases in rural and semi-urban India have relied on word of mouth, dealer influence, and limited product awareness, often resulting in suboptimal decisions and financial strain.

Desi Machines is designed to empower contractors, builders, and equipment operators across the country by offering a one-stop platform where users can search, compare, and evaluate over 400 machines across categories such as backhoe loaders, excavators, motor graders, and wheel loaders. The platform is rapidly expanding into additional segments including dumpers, crushers, and concrete equipment.

Mr. Saurav Agarwal, Founder of Desi Machines, said, “At Desi Machines, we believe every contractor-whether in a metro or a Tier III town - deserves access to clear, honest guidance when investing in construction equipment. With over a decade of experience in this industry - including serving as a dealer principal for a leading OEM, overseeing on-ground sales, service, and spares, and later supporting multiple brands through my branding and marketing agency, PromotEdge - I’ve seen firsthand the confusion and inefficiencies that buyers face. Our mission is to bring clarity, transparency, and confidence to Bharat’s builders.”

Desi Machines has seen strong traction from Tier III and IV regions, validating its role in simplifying equipment buying. With plans to list over 4,000 products by end-2025 and expand into rentals, warranties, and maintenance, the platform is emerging as a key digital bridge for OEMs and buyers in India’s USD 25 billion construction equipment market.
