Chennai - The Passenger Vehicle Expo 2025., a premier event dedicated to the passenger transport sector, is set to open its doors at the Chennai Trade Centre Complex from July 31 to August 2, 2025. Expo was grandly inaugurated by Hon’ble Transport Minister Mr. S.S. Sivasankar. Over 2,168 visitors joined on Day 1.
Organized by Mobiz Expo Private Limited, the three-day exhibition aims to bring together leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), component suppliers, technology innovators, fleet operators, and industry stakeholders under one roof.
The expo will spotlight the latest developments in electric and alternative-fuel vehicles, advanced safety systems, smart interiors, and cutting-edge service and diagnostic tools. With India’s passenger mobility sector rapidly evolving due to growing urban demand and policy shifts toward electrification, the event serves as a critical platform for showcasing next-generation solutions.

Force Motors Limited., has showcased the Force Gurkha, a rugged 4×4 SUV offered in 3-door (4-seater) and 5-door (7-seater) variants. It features a 2.6 L turbo-diesel engine (140 PS, 320 Nm), 5-speed manual, diff locks, factory snorkel for ~700 mm water wading, 233 mm ground clearance, 9-inch touchscreen, and dual airbags — combining off-road strength with modern touches.
Tata Motors Limited., has showcased the Tata LPO 1822, a BS VI intercity bus chassis with a 5.6 L Cummins engine (220 HP, 925 Nm), 6-speed manual, full air brakes, and optional air suspension. It offers a GVW of 17,800 kg, 6925 mm wheelbase, 350 L fuel tank, and a 4-year/4 lakh km warranty.
Ashok Leyland Limited., has showcased the 12m bus chassis and Garud 15M. The Garud 15M (FM2515.0F6R) is India’s first 15-metre, front-engine, 6×2 multi-axle bus chassis with a 248 hp BS VI engine, 900 Nm torque, 6-speed manual, air suspension, ABS, and optional retarder. It offers a GVW of 22,500 kg, up to 60 seats or 42 berths, 375 L fuel tank, and a 6-year driveline warranty; launch by early 2026.
The Ashok Leyland 12m bus chassis, with a 6-cylinder CRS diesel engine (200–220 HP, 700–800 Nm), 6-speed manual, and full air brakes with ABS, is designed for intercity travel. It offers a ~6,000 mm wheelbase, power steering, and options for leaf spring or air suspension for better ride comfort.
Volvo Group., has showcased the Volvo 9600 sleeper coach, with an 11-litre engine (430 HP, 2,000 Nm), 12-speed I-Shift, full air suspension, and disc brakes with ABS and EBS, offering premium comfort over its 15-metre length.
