Mumbai- MG Group., a bus and coach manufacturer, has launched TIGRA – a new range of high-end intercity coaches developed in-house. Built at the company’s modern factory in Belagavi, TIGRA offers top-level comfort, safety, and easy maintenance. It can be used with all 13.5-meter coach chassis and is meant for both Indian and international markets.

The dual launches were announced at MG Group’s flagship event, RE:BORN, held at The Royal Senate, Palace Grounds in Bengaluru. The event was attended by senior leadership from the Group, including Mr. Anil Mohan Kamat, Chairman & Managing Director; Mr. Sivakumar V., President – Strategy & Sales; and Mr. Gireesha Prabhu, Chief Operating Officer. Key stakeholders from across the automotive and mobility ecosystem customers, suppliers, and technology partners—were also present.

Mr. Sivakumar V., President – Strategy & Sales, MG Group, said, “In the bus and coach body-building industry, progress doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built on strong relationships, consistent quality, and the ability to evolve. MG isn’t just a name in engineering it’s a legacy of character. TIGRA is designed to be a segment leader from the outset, and we’re optimistic about its market impact.”

The launch of MG’s new brand identity also commemorates 10 years since its entry into the premium coach segment. The refreshed logo features a seamless transition from ‘M’ to ‘G’, symbolizing a continuous customer journey from concept to market. Its hexagonal silhouette, inspired by a metal bolt, represents strength in engineering and precision manufacturing.

This transformation signals MG Group’s evolution from a contract manufacturer for high-volume OEMs to a product-led, brand-driven mobility solutions provider. It also reflects the company’s broader strategy to establish itself as a visible, innovative, and value-driven player in the evolving transportation industry.

Mr. Anil Mohan Kamat, Chairman & Managing Director, MG Group, said, “Over the last four decades, MG has earned its reputation through consistent execution, design strength, and trusted OEM partnerships. This new identity represents a shift in our positioning—from being a reliable vendor behind the scenes to emerging as a forward-facing brand defined by innovation, design, and premium product offerings like TIGRA.”

The brand refresh includes a new visual language and messaging strategy, crafted to reflect MG Group’s full-spectrum capabilities and expanding ambitions in the premium intercity and future-ready mobility segments.

Mr. Gireesha Prabhu, Chief Operating Officer, MG Group, said, “Today, we’re not just unveiling a new look—we’re stepping into a bold new era. TIGRA represents a world-class product offering, global in its vision and deeply human in its approach. It delivers superior comfort, safety, and serviceability across all available 13.5-meter chassis platforms.”

TIGRA is MG Group’s latest premium coach, purpose-built for long-haul intercity and tourism segments. Fully engineered and designed in-house at the Belagavi facility, it embodies the highest standards in passenger experience and operational performance. Key features include:

  • ABS-moulded plush interiors with no sharp edges or visible fasteners, ensuring a sleek, safe, and modern cabin environment.
  • Integrated ambient lighting and premium upholstery for berths and seats, offering elevated comfort and aesthetics.
  • Distinctive exterior styling, featuring full-length DRLs and a heartbeat-style light strip for a bold road presence.
