Fondo, Italy - FAE Group S.p.A., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced an upgraded version of its SSM line of forestry tillers, engineered to shred roots and stumps up to 20 inches in diameter and work at depths of up to 16 inches.

Offered in SSM and high-power SSM/HP versions, the tillers fit 170- to 300-horsepower tractors and are available in 81-, 91-, and 100-inch working widths. Designed for plantation and nursery maintenance, vineyard and orchard care, agricultural tilling, soil reclamation, and soil mixing, the new models bring both versatility and rugged performance.

Enhancements include interchangeable Hardox steel inner plates for added wear resistance, a central gearbox alignment system, side gearbox transmission, and an adjustable Hardox counter blade. Interchangeable protection chains help contain shredded material and deflect debris. The SSM/HP version adds a side gearbox cooling system for demanding jobs.

Optional features include an adjustable hood grille, dozer blade, and rear hydraulic support roller. The tillers come standard with A/3 teeth, while A/3/HD and F/3 teeth are available upon request.

The updated SSM lineup aims to deliver greater durability, efficiency, and safety in heavy-duty land management applications.
