Seoul, South Korea – Develon., a brand of HD Hyundai Infracore Co., Ltd and a construction equipment producer, is taking a significant step toward enhancing excavator versatility by announcing that its new -9 Series excavators will now be delivered factory-ready for Engcon tiltrotator installation. This integration is expected to simplify attachment setup and improve productivity for operators across a wide range of applications.
The first models in the lineup—the 23-metric-ton DX230LC-9 and the 26-metric-ton DX260LC-9—made their international debut earlier this year at two major industry events: the Seoul Mobility Show and Bauma. Both events highlighted Develon’s focus on advanced hydraulics, operator comfort, and increased machine efficiency.
By offering factory-ready tiltrotator compatibility, Develon is positioning its -9 Series as a more flexible solution for contractors and equipment rental companies who rely on quick attachment changes and precise machine control. Engcon tiltrotators allow excavator buckets and other tools to rotate and tilt, enabling more versatile digging, grading, and loading operations without repositioning the machine.
Develon has indicated that these -9 Series models are scheduled to reach the North American market in 2026. However, the company cautions that specifications and model names may differ depending on regional requirements, reflecting local regulatory standards and market preferences.
The DX230LC-9 and DX260LC-9 are expected to compete strongly in the mid-size excavator segment, offering enhanced fuel efficiency, improved serviceability, and upgraded operator cabins designed for maximum comfort and visibility. Industry analysts anticipate that the combination of factory tiltrotator readiness and Develon’s focus on performance could make these models attractive to contractors seeking machines that reduce downtime and improve on-site productivity.
