DICV to supply 20 AC buses to Assam State Transport Corp

Chennai/ Assam – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) of Oragadam, near Chennai, a subsidiary of Germany’s Daimler AG, has received its first order of 20 air-conditioned BharatBenz 1017¹ BS6 from the government of Assam to operate airport services, city and intercity transportation. The buses are being delivered through BharatBenz’s authorised dealership Abutani Trucking in Guwahati.

            ¹BharatBenz 1017 of 10.6t GVW is powered with 4D34i CRDI deliver power of 170 HP@2500 rpm and torque 520 Nm@1500 rpm is matched with M036, Synchromesh type (6F+1R). The Ladder type channel with cross members chassis of 8.5m, wheelbase of 5300mm is fitted with Fully Floating Type axle is supported with Parabolic leaf springs with telescopic shock absorbers at front and rear. It also features a dual circuit full air S-Cam type drum with an auxiliary exhaust brake system with Anti-Lock Brakes. The BharatBenz 1017 Staff Bus comes with the options of 2×1 layout with 26+2, 2×2 layout with 35+2, 2×2 layout with 39+2 High Head Rest, a powerful air conditioning, fixed glass, as well as safety features such as seat belts, provision for CCTV, GPS, RFID, navigation, illuminated entry area, emergency alarm etc.,
