Vietnam- Dongfeng Motor Company., has strengthened its presence in Vietnam with the launch of the new Dongfeng X9 fuel tractor at a major conference held in Ho Chi Minh City. Organized by DFMIEC together with its local partner under the theme “Unite for Progress, Win the New Journey,” the event welcomed more than 300 attendees, including Vietnamese dealers, logistics companies, industry customers, and media representatives.
The conference was attended by senior leaders such as Wang Long, Chairman of DFMIEC, Shen Bin, General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Xinjiang Co., Ltd., and the head of the Vietnamese partner. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the X9 fuel tractor, developed specifically for Vietnamese operating conditions. Dongfeng also displayed key models including the X7 tractor, X3 tractor, and cargo trucks, with the team presenting detailed insights into the fuel-efficiency performance and core advantages of the X7 and X3 ranges.
In his address, Wang Long described Vietnam as one of ASEAN’s most dynamic growth markets, driven by faster industrialization and urbanization. He noted that demand for logistics vehicles continues to rise, supported by expanding infrastructure and logistics networks, manufacturing relocation into Vietnam, and rapid digital-economy growth. He added that DFMIEC will continue working closely with partners to contribute to Vietnam’s transportation development.
The Vietnamese partner reviewed progress made so far, stating that the X7 and X3 series have earned increasing customer trust, with Dongfeng tractors now ranking among the top five in the local market. The launch of the X9 further expands the product portfolio and signals a deeper phase of cooperation. With the Vietnamese government focused on cutting logistics costs and accelerating green transformation, the new X9 is expected to support more efficient and upgraded operations across the country’s logistics sector.
