The lightest Panigale and Streetfighter ever, with a new Ducati V2 engine offering torque and high-rev power. Unveiled at EICMA
Date: November 5, 2024Sunnyvale, United States- Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., a motorcycle manufacturer, introduces a new era with the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2, the lightest ever twin-cylinder bikes. Featuring the new Ducati V2 engine, they set a new benchmark for compactness and lightness in Ducati's lineup.
The Ducati Panigale V2 represents a major shift in twin-cylinder motorcycles, designed from the ground up with the new Ducati V2 engine and monocoque frame, making it the lightest Panigale ever. Weighing 33 lb less than the V2 S, it combines sporty performance with easy handling for road enjoyment. The design mirrors the Panigale V4, featuring a full-LED headlight, a sleek, aerodynamic fairing, and a racing-inspired exhaust. On track, the Panigale V2 delivers exceptional performance, while on the road, it offers unmatched comfort, maneuverability, and rider ease.
The Ducati Streetfighter V2 is the lightest ever, combining the Panigale V2 chassis with the 890 cc V2 engine for a thrilling performance both on the road and track. Weighing just 386 lb, it's 40 lb lighter than its predecessor. Featuring wide handlebars and no fairing, it offers enhanced agility and stability. The design retains the Streetfighter family’s aggressive styling, with a sharp front and DRL, while incorporating elements from the Panigale V2, such as the fuel tank and alloy wheels, embodying Ducati's racing heritage. The result is a bike that's intuitive, lively, and exhilarating to ride.
The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 feature a six-axis IMU inertial platform, supporting a comprehensive electronics package for safety and performance, including sports ABS, Ducati Traction and Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. Riders can adjust the bike’s behavior via four Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Road, Wet), each with customizable settings. The new 5" TFT dashboard offers three views (Road, Road Pro, Track) and integrates a rev counter with shift indicators. Accessories include a track package for the Panigale, and road accessories like Cruise Control, Turn-by-turn navigator, and a TPMS sensor.
The new Panigale V2 will arrive at US dealers in late Q1 2025, while the Streetfighter V2 will arrive in Q2 2025. The Panigale and Streetfighter V2 will be offered in a two-seater configuration, while the V2 S versions will be available in a single-seater configuration with a passenger kit offered as an accessory.
