Germany/New Delhi/Pune – German based leading supplier of Euro VI exhaust and emission control systems for commercial vehicles in Europe and North America, Eberspächer Exhaust Technology International GmbH, a group of Eberspacher2 and India’s key supplier of exhaust system, Sharada Motors Industries Ltd.1 of New Delhi has formed a 50:50 joint venture as Eberspaecher Sharda Exhaust Technology Pvt Ltd. and opened a manufacturing plant in Pune to develop, produce and market exhaust systems for commercial vehicles specific to BS VI emission norms with an undisclosed investment. They formed this joint venture company in March 2019 and now started the operation.
The aim of the joint venture in the design of environmentally compatible mobility. While Eberspaecher brings its knowledge in technology and production to the joint venture, Sharda Motor is the local arm in the joint venture that keeps tab on the changing customer demands and trends in the Indian industry.
They also planned to open another plant in Northern India to fulfil the growing demands in advanced exhaust and emission control systems.
Mr. Ajay Relan, managing director of Sharda Motor Industries Ltd said, “We can now supply our customers with high-tech products contributing to air purification in India.”
