      Pune- Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Private Ltd. of Pune, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries had ventured into electric vehicle manufacturing, had received the CMVR certification for its 9m pure electric, zero-emission bus, EKA E9, from ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India). The company is about to start trials and commercialisation E9 in upcoming months.

      The E9 features new vehicle design with monocoque stainless steel chassis and complete composite structure. EKA E9 is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with maximum power of 200 KW and maximum torque of 2500 Nm. EKA E9 comes with re-generative braking system. Wide body (2.5m) with 2×2 comfortable seating arrangement, front and rear air suspension with ECAS, full standing height, wide aisle, and ample leg space for passenger’s comfort. EKA E9 comes with company fitted AC, demister, and bacterial filtration system. It comes with both front and rear air suspension with ECAS.

      With 2500 mm width, 31+D +Wheelchair (equipped with wheelchair ramp), the bus offers space for passenger (seating + standing) movement. The low entry / exit steps are ergonomically designed with kneeling features with lowest 650 mm floor height, making them extremely comfortable and accessible for the elderly, children, women, and especially abled passengers. E9 added with ventilated disc brakes on all 4 wheels and safest braking model with EBS. The bus also comes with driver assistance system (ADAS), cameras, emergency stop button, that gives additional safety to passengers. Its modular architecture makes the E9 the bus that can be configured for multiple applications such as city buses, staff carriers, and school buses.

      Dr Sudhir Mehta, Founder and Chairman, EKA by Pinnacle Mobility Solutions, said, “Having passed all certification tests in this short time frame is a truly monumental achievement by the whole team. We now look forward to ramping up our production and delivering our electric buses to our customers.”
