EKA Mobility, KPIT, and BPCL Deploy Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus at Cochin Airport
Partners to deploy a 9-metre hydrogen fuel cell bus at Cochin Airport. The PoC project supports Kerala’s sustainable mobility and net-zero goals.

Cochin- EKA Mobility, electric vehicle (EV) and clean mobility solutions provider, has partnered with KPIT Technologies Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) to deploy a 9-metre hydrogen fuel cell bus at Cochin International Airport (CIAL), Cochin.
As part of Kerala’s sustainable mobility and net-zero goals, the bus will operate as a proof of concept (PoC) project for three years. EKA sourced the hydrogen fuel cell technology from KPIT and integrated it into the 9-metre bus, which accommodates over 30 passengers. BPCL has set up the hydrogen generation, dispensing, and refuelling infrastructure in Kochi to support the initiative.
