Electric & Hybrid Cars Launched at Manila International Auto Show (MIAS 2025)

Manila, Philippines - ​The 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), held from April 10 to 13 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, showcased an impressive array of electric and electrified vehicles, highlighting the Philippines' growing commitment to sustainable mobility. Here's a comprehensive overview of the notable electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrids presented at the event:​

BYD Company Limited., an automobiles company, showcased the eMAX 7, Seagull, Sealion 6, and Seal 5 models.

​The BYD eMAX 7 is an electric MPV available in two variants: Premium and Superior. The Premium variant features a 55.4 kWh battery, delivering 163 PS and 310 Nm of torque, with a range of 420 km (NEDC) and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 10.1 seconds. The Superior variant is equipped with a 71.8 kWh battery, producing 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque, offering a range of 530 km (NEDC) and a 0-100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds. Both variants support a top speed of 180 km/h and are front-wheel drive. Charging capabilities include 7 kW AC and up to 115 kW DC, with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality. The eMAX 7 comes with a 6-year/1.5 lakh km warranty, with the battery and motor covered for 8 years/1.6 lakh km. ​

The BYD Seagull is a compact electric hatchback with a 55 kW motor, offering two battery options: a 30.08 kWh sodium-ion pack (305 km range) and a 38.88 kWh LFP pack (405 km range). It accelerates from 0-50 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 130 km/h. Features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 7-inch digital display, six airbags, and DC fast charging.

The BYD Sealion 6 is a plug-in hybrid SUV with two variants: Essential (FWD) and Premium (AWD). The Essential offers 160 kW combined power, a 92 km electric range, and 1.1 L/100 km fuel efficiency. The Premium delivers 238 kW power, 81 km electric range, and 1.4 L/100 km efficiency, with a 5.9-second 0-100 km/h time. Both variants feature a 60-liter fuel tank for a total range of up to 1,092 km.

The BYD Seal 5 is an electric sedan featuring a 82.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a range of up to 550 km on a single charge. It is powered by a dual-motor setup delivering 530 hp and 700 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.8 seconds. The Seal 5 supports fast charging and is built on BYD's 800V platform for enhanced performance and efficiency.

Suzuki Motor Corporation., an automobile manufacturer, showcased the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, a compact sedan powered by a 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine producing 82 PS and 112 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or automated manual transmission (AMT). The Dzire offers impressive fuel efficiency, achieving up to 25.71 km/l in petrol and 33.73 km/kg in S-CNG variants. It features a 382-liter boot, a 163 mm ground clearance, and a kerb weight ranging from 920 to 960 kg. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill-hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The sedan is available in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.

Hyundai Motor Company., an automotive manufacturer, showcased the Hyundai Elantra, a compact sedan powered by a 2.0L inline-4 engine producing 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. It achieves an estimated fuel economy of 32 mpg city and 41 mpg highway. The sedan features a 14.2 cubic feet trunk, seating for five, and a 107.1-inch wheelbase. Standard safety features include forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, and rearview camera.

Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., an automotive company, showcased the Nevo Q05, Nevo Hunter K50, Lumin EV and Nevo A05 PHEV models.

​The Changan Nevo Q05 is a plug-in hybrid SUV featuring a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine delivering 81 kW (110 hp) and 143 Nm of torque. It offers two battery options: a 9.07 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery providing an electric range of up to 60 km, and an 18.99 kWh battery offering up to 125 km. The combined range reaches up to 1,215 km. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. It features front-wheel drive and an E-CVT transmission. The SUV's dimensions are 4539 mm in length, 1865 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2656 mm.

​The Changan Nevo Hunter K50 is a plug-in hybrid pickup truck featuring a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 31.18 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The combined system delivers 200 kW (272 hp) and 470 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 160 km/h and an electric-only range of 131 km (NEDC). It supports DC fast charging, reaching 30–80% in about 30 minutes. The vehicle is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, LED lighting, and standard safety features including multiple airbags and electronic stability control. ​

The Changan Lumin EV is a compact electric hatchback designed for urban commuting. It features a 17.65 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery, providing a range of up to 210 km (130 miles) on a single charge. The vehicle is powered by a 41 hp (31 kW) electric motor, enabling a top speed of 101 km/h (63 mph). With a curb weight of approximately 840 kg, it offers a lightweight and efficient driving experience. The Lumin EV is equipped with a 3-door configuration, seating four passengers, and includes modern amenities such as a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and multifunctional electronic power steering.

The Changan Nevo A05 PHEV combines a 1.5L engine (110 hp) and an electric motor (140–158 kW), offering up to 145 km of electric range with an 18.99 kWh battery. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.8–7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 185 km/h. It features fast charging, a combined range of up to 1,300 km, and a modern sedan design.

Isuzu Motors Limited., a commercial vehicles manufacturer, showcased the 2025 Isuzu MU-X, a full-size SUV powered by a 3.0L turbo-diesel engine producing 140 kW and 450 Nm of torque. It features a 6-speed automatic transmission and is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains. The MU-X offers a 7-seat capacity, 230–235 mm ground clearance, and a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg. It includes safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning, with a fuel consumption range of 7.2–10.3 L/100 km.

Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., an automobile manufacturer, showcased the Chery Tiggo 9 C-DM, Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV and Chery eQ7 models.

The Chery Tiggo 9 C-DM is a plug-in hybrid SUV with a 1.5L turbo engine and dual electric motors, producing 280 kW and 610 Nm. It has a 19.4 kWh battery offering 106 km electric range and over 1,000 km combined. It supports fast charging, does 0–100 km/h in 8.8 seconds, and features a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay.

​The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV is a 7-seat SUV powered by a 1.5L turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, delivering a combined 326 hp and 545 Nm of torque. It features a 19.3 kWh battery offering up to 100 km electric range (NEDC) and supports DC fast charging. The vehicle accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h. Its dimensions are 4,745 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,747 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,710 mm. Inside, it offers a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leatherette seats, and advanced driver assistance features. ​

​The Chery eQ7 is a rear-wheel-drive electric SUV powered by a 155 kW (208 hp) motor and a 67.1 kWh LFP battery, offering a CLTC range of up to 512 km. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h. DC fast charging from 30% to 80% takes just 30 minutes. Built on an aluminum-magnesium alloy platform, the eQ7 features a 5-door body, seating for five, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.

Jaecoo., a brand of Chery and a vehicle manufacturer, showcased the Jaecoo J7 SHS PHEV, features a 1.5L turbocharged engine and electric motor producing 347 hp and 550 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. The 18.3 kWh battery offers an electric-only range of up to 91 km (WLTP), and the SUV supports DC fast charging. It has a 2672 mm wheelbase and 200 mm ground clearance, combining performance and luxury.

Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd., (BAIC) an automobile manufacturer, showcased the BAIC B60e Beaumont rEV and BAIC B30e Dune.

​The BAIC B60e Beaumont rEV is a 7-seater range-extended electric SUV featuring dual electric motors that deliver a combined output of 540 hp and 655 Nm torque. It utilizes a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine as a generator, enabling a total driving range of up to 1,200 km. Equipped with full-time 4WD, a 215 mm ground clearance, and an 800 mm wading depth, it is well-suited for off-road conditions. The SUV also offers advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, wireless charging, and ventilated seats. ​

​The BAIC B30e Dune is a hybrid SUV powered by a 1.5L turbocharged engine paired with electric motors, delivering up to 403 hp and 685 Nm of torque in the 4WD variant. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and offers a 7-mode All-Terrain System with 215 mm ground clearance for off-road capability. The SUV measures 4,730 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Inside, it features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leatherette seats, and advanced driver assistance features.

LYNK & CO International AB., a mobility solutions provider, showcased the Lynk & Co 02 EV and Lynk & Co 08 EM-P.

​The Lynk & Co 02 EV is a rear-wheel-drive electric crossover powered by a 200 kW (272 hp) motor and a 66 kWh NMC battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 445 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and supports 150 kW DC fast charging, reaching 10–80% in 30 minutes. Additional features include vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, 5G connectivity, and a 15.4-inch infotainment display.

​The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P is a plug-in hybrid SUV featuring a 1.5L turbocharged engine paired with dual electric motors, delivering up to 593 hp and 905 Nm of torque in its top variant. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h. Equipped with a 39.6 kWh battery, it offers an electric-only range of up to 185 km (WLTC) and supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. The vehicle measures 4,820 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,848 mm. Its combined range extends up to 1,200 km, making it suitable for both urban and long-distance driving. ​

VinFast Auto Ltd., an automotive company, showcased the VF 6, VF3, VF5, VF7, VF9 models.

The VinFast VF 6 is a subcompact electric SUV with a 59.6 kWh battery and front-wheel drive. It comes in two variants: the Eco, with 174 hp, a 399 km range, and a top speed of 140 km/h, and the Plus, with 201 hp and a range of 480 km. Both variants seat five and have a 0-100 km/h time of around 8 seconds.

The VinFast VF3 is a compact electric SUV powered by a 41–44 hp motor and an 18.64 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 210 km (NEDC). It accelerates from 0–50 km/h in 5.3 seconds and has a top speed of 100 km/h. The VF3 supports fast charging, reaching 70% in about 36 minutes, and offers seating for four with a 285-liter boot. Its dimensions are 3,190 mm in length, 1,679 mm in width, and 1,622 mm in height.

The VinFast VF 5 is a compact electric hatchback featuring a 100 kW (136 hp) front-wheel-drive motor paired with a 37.23 kWh LFP battery, offering an NEDC range of approximately 300 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10 seconds and has a top speed of 130 km/h. The vehicle measures 3965 mm in length, 1720 mm in width, and 1580 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2513 mm. It seats five passengers and includes a 17-inch wheel setup. The VF 5 is available in various markets, including the Philippines, where it serves as an entry-level EV option. ​

The VinFast VF7 is an electric SUV available in multiple configurations. The Eco FWD variant delivers 204 hp, 310 Nm, and a 75.3 kWh battery with a 450 km range (WLTP), accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. The Plus AWD variant produces 348 hp, 500 Nm, and the same battery, offering a 431 km range and 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The S AWD variant delivers 176 hp, 250 Nm, and the same battery with a 431 km range, reaching 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. All variants have a top speed of 175 km/h, a 2,840 mm wheelbase, and a 5-door SUV body with seating for five.

The VinFast VF9 is a 7-seater electric SUV with dual-motor AWD, producing 402 hp and 620 Nm of torque. It features a 92-kWh battery offering up to 437 km of range, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. It supports 150 kW DC fast charging, reaching 80% in 35 minutes. Standard features include a 15.6-inch touchscreen and a 7-seat configuration.

Kia Corporation., an automobile manufacturer, showcased the Kia EV9, 2025 Carnival Hybrid and 2025 Sorento Turbo Hybrid models.

The Kia EV9 is a 7-seater electric SUV built on the E-GMP platform, available in RWD and AWD configurations with up to 380 hp. It offers a choice of a 76.1 kWh or 99.8 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 400 km. With a 3,100 mm wheelbase, it features 800V fast charging, advanced tech, and seating for six or seven.

The 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid is a 3-row minivan powered by a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid engine paired with a 54.4 kW electric motor, delivering a combined output of 242 hp. It features a 6-speed automatic transmission and offers an estimated fuel economy of 33 mpg combined. The Carnival Hybrid is available in LXS, EX, SX, and SX Prestige trims, with seating capacities ranging from 7 to 8 passengers. Standard features include tri-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a suite of advanced safety technologies.

The 2025 Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid is a midsize SUV powered by a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid engine delivering 227 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It features an all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring and a center-locking differential. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 8.7 seconds, with a top speed of 114 mph. Fuel efficiency is rated at 32.7 mpg combined (WLTP). The Sorento Turbo Hybrid offers a 5-seat configuration with a 2.8-meter wheelbase, providing ample interior space. ​

JSW MG Motor., a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, showcased the MG ZS HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), a compact SUV featuring a 1.5L Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 158 hp and 465 Nm of torque. It utilizes a 1.83 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 3-speed automatic transmission, offering a fuel economy of up to 55 mpg and CO₂ emissions ranging from 113 to 115 g/km. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 8.7 seconds and has a top speed of 104 mph. Standard features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, and a reversing camera.

Guangzhou Automobile Group Motor Co., Ltd., an automobile manufacturing company, showcased the ​ GAC M8 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 373 PS and 630 Nm of torque. It features a 25.57 kWh lithium ternary battery pack, enabling an all-electric range of up to 106 km and a total combined range exceeding 1,000 km. The M8 PHEV is expected to be launched in the Philippines in the third quarter of 2025. ​

Wuhu JETOUR Automobiles Sales Co.,Ltd., a crossovers and SUV manufacturer, showcased the ​Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) featuring a 1.5L turbocharged inline-4 engine paired with a 3-speed hybrid transmission (3DHT). It delivers a combined output of 156 hp (115 kW) and 220 Nm of torque. The vehicle is equipped with a 26.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery, offering an electric-only range of up to 139 km (CLTC) and a total range of approximately 1,000 km. Charging capabilities include 0–80% DC fast charging in about 30 minutes and AC charging from 30–100% in under 4 hours. The T2 Lightning i-DM features a 5-door body, seating for five, and a 70-liter fuel tank.

AITO., an electric vehicle (EV) brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres, showcased the AITO M9, a full-size luxury SUV offered in two powertrain configurations: a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV). The BEV variant features a 100-kWh battery, dual electric motors producing a combined 530 hp, and offers a range of up to 630 km (WLTC), accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The EREV variant combines a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with dual electric motors delivering a total of 496 hp, providing an all-electric range of 266–290 km and a combined range of up to 1,474 km. ​

Tesla, Inc., a battery electric vehicle manufacturer, showcased the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.

​The Tesla Model 3 is an all-electric sedan available in various configurations. The 2023 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) model features a 62-kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 390 miles (627 km) on the WLTP cycle. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 139.8 mph (225 km/h). The Long-Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant offers a range of up to 390 miles (627 km) and reaches 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. The Tesla Model Y is an all-electric compact SUV available in Standard Range RWD, Long Range AWD, and Performance AWD configurations. It features a range from 311 miles (501 km) to 387 miles (623 km) on a full charge, depending on the variant. The Performance model accelerates from 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 217 km/h. It offers up to 2,318 liters of cargo space, a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, and advanced safety features.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., an automobile manufacturer, showcased the Kicks e-POWER and 2025 Terra.

The Nissan Kicks e-POWER, a hybrid SUV powered by a 1.2L petrol engine that acts as a generator for the electric motor, delivering 129 hp and 260 Nm of torque. It features a 5-door, 5-seat configuration with dimensions of 4,290 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, and a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. The 2025 Nissan Terra is a full-size SUV available in multiple variants. FAW Bestune Automobile Co., Ltd., a car manufacturer, showcased the Bestune Pony Mini EV, a compact 3-door hatchback designed for urban commuting. It features a 20-kW electric motor delivering 85 Nm of torque and offers two battery options: a 9.4 kWh battery providing a range of approximately 122 km, and a 13.9 kWh battery offering up to 170 km on a single charge.
