India- EMO Energy has partnered with BNC Motors to launch the EMO Challenger, a new electric mobility platform designed for last-mile deliveries and fleet operations. The partnership combines BNC Motors’ commercial EV expertise with EMO Energy’s advanced battery technology to deliver longer operating hours, faster charging, and reliable performance in India’s urban delivery networks.
The EMO Challenger is built for intensive fleet usage, addressing common challenges such as battery degradation and vehicle downtime. It features cell-level electrochemical modelling for real-time battery performance prediction, advanced thermal management for extreme operating conditions, and an active battery management system (BMS) to minimise cell wear. Integrated diagnostics and analytics enable proactive maintenance and improved fleet uptime.
Mr. Sheetanshu Tyagi, Co-founder and CEO of EMO Energy, said, "Fleet electrification requires batteries that can handle sustained high-duty cycles. By combining EMO’s battery intelligence with BNC Motors’ engineering, we can ensure predictable uptime over long operating periods."
Mr. Anirudh Ravi Narayanan, CEO of BNC Motors, said, "Reliability and service support are critical for commercial EV adoption. This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver vehicles that meet fleet operators’ real-world requirements while maintaining high service standards."
The EMO Challenger is designed to handle heavy payloads and dense urban delivery routes, offering extended battery life, fast charging in just 20 minutes, and scalable deployment for large fleets. The platform also integrates with EMO Energy’s broader ecosystem, including telematics, fast-charging infrastructure, lifecycle monitoring, and energy storage systems. Initial deployment of 1,000 vehicles is underway in Bangalore and Gurugram, with expansion plans targeting 15,000 vehicles by 2026.
