Faridabad - Escorts Kubota Limited., Agri Machinery Business Division has released its tractor sales figures for May 2025, showing mixed performance with domestic sales experiencing a slight decline, while exports surged significantly.

The company reported total tractor sales of 10,354 units in May 2025, marking a modest 0.7% year-on-year increase compared to 10,286 units sold in May 2024.

However, domestic sales dipped by 2%, with 9,703 units sold this May against 9,906 units in the same month last year. In contrast, export sales showcased remarkable momentum, soaring by 71.3% to 651 units, compared to 380 units sold in May 2024.

Escorts Kubota attributed the improved market sentiment to the timely arrival of the monsoon, which has energized rural markets. The company noted that preparations for the upcoming Kharif season are progressing steadily. It remains optimistic about future demand, citing above-normal monsoon forecasts, healthy reservoir levels, and improved liquidity in rural areas as key supporting factors.

For the cumulative period of April to May FY26, Escorts Kubota sold 19,083 tractors, marginally lower than the 19,125 units sold in the same period of FY25 — reflecting a slight 0.2% year-on-year decline.

Domestic sales during this two-month period totaled 17,851 units, down 3.0% from 18,398 units in FY25. Meanwhile, exports continued their strong performance, with 1,232 tractors shipped overseas in April–May FY26, a sharp rise of 69.5% compared to 727 units exported in the corresponding period last year.

Despite short-term fluctuations in domestic demand, Escorts Kubota remains confident about future prospects, buoyed by favorable agri-economic indicators and robust export momentum.
