Faridabad - Escorts Kubota Limited., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has announced its tractor sales performance for April 2025, reflecting a mixed trend. While total sales saw a marginal year-on-year decline, registered a strong surge in export volumes, underlining its expanding global footprint.
Escorts Kubota sold a total of 8,729 tractors in April 2025, slightly down by 1.2% compared to 8,839 units sold in April 2024. This overall dip was primarily due to a slowdown in the domestic market.
Domestic tractor sales stood at 8,148 units, representing a 4.1% drop from 8,492 units sold in the same month last year. The decline is attributed to transitional seasonal factors and local market fluctuations. However, this was offset by a remarkable performance in the export segment, where the company reported sales of 581 units, a 67.4% increase over 347 units sold in April 2024. This robust growth highlights Escorts Kubota’s strengthening presence in international markets.
Despite the slight dip in domestic volumes, the company remains positive about the outlook for the agricultural sector. Escorts Kubota pointed to a combination of encouraging macroeconomic indicators—including a successful rabi harvest, higher crop prices, and adequate reservoir water levels—that are expected to boost rural sentiment and drive tractor demand in the coming months.
