Faridabad - Escorts Kubota Limited’s Agri Machinery Business., sold 10,072 tractors in August 2026, registering a 19.1% year-on-year growth compared to 8,456 tractors sold in August 2025.
Domestic tractor sales remained strong during the month. The company sold 9,523 tractors in the domestic market, compared to 7,902 units in August 2025, recording a 20.5% increase.
Tractor demand during August was supported by better monsoon conditions, healthy Kharif sowing and stable rural demand. Expectations of improved farm income and continued agricultural activity also supported sales during the month.
Export sales stood at 549 tractors in August 2026, compared to 554 units in August 2025, resulting in a marginal 0.9% decline.
During the April to August 2026 period, Escorts Kubota sold a total of 55,665 tractors, registering a 20.5% growth compared to 46,191 units sold during the same period last year.
Domestic sales during April–August 2026 reached 53,174 tractors, compared to 43,374 units in the corresponding period of the previous year, reflecting a 22.6% increase.
Exports during the five-month period stood at 2,491 tractors, down 11.6% compared to 2,817 units sold during April–August last year.
Going forward, Kharif crop performance, reservoir levels and festive-season demand are expected to influence tractor sales, while higher costs and a strong base could limit the pace of growth.
