Faridabad - Escorts Kubota Limited’s Agri Machinery Business., reported strong tractor sales growth in April 2026, selling 10,857 units during the month. This marks a 24.4% increase compared to 8,729 units sold in April 2025.

The company’s domestic tractor sales stood at 10,398 units in April 2026, up 27.6% from 8,148 units recorded in the same month last year. Domestic demand remained strong, supported by positive farm sentiment, improved rural liquidity, adequate reservoir levels, and steady demand from the agriculture sector.

However, the company’s export sales declined by 21.0%. Escorts Kubota exported 459 tractors in April 2026, compared to 581 units in April 2025.

The overall domestic tractor industry continued to show healthy momentum in April 2026. Improved rural conditions and supportive demand factors helped drive growth. However, rising input costs, supply chain pressures linked to geopolitical developments, and potential weather risks may affect farmer sentiment and affordability in the coming months.

The company also noted that evolving weather patterns, especially emerging El Niño signals, will remain important to monitor as they could influence future tractor demand.
