FAE Introduces Powerful UMM/S/EX Mulcher for Excavators

Fondo, Italy - FAE CONSTRUCTION LLC., a construction equipment manufacturer, is expanding its lineup of forestry mulchers with the new UMM/S/EX model, specially designed for excavators weighing between 25 and 40 tons, making it ideal for feller bunchers and heavy-duty forestry work.

The UMM/S/EX is built to mulch trees and vegetation up to 16 inches in diameter, providing high mulching capacity for use in dense forests, green spaces, and other demanding environments. It supports hydraulic flows from 66 to 119 gallons per minute (gpm) and can operate at pressures up to 400 bar, ensuring robust performance on large-scale jobs.

This mulcher features a VT automatic variable displacement motor that boosts torque output for enhanced efficiency. Power transfer is optimized through a durable Poly Chain belt transmission, offering long-term reliability. The Spike PRO bolted counter blades generate finely shredded mulch and simplify maintenance. Additionally, the mulching chamber is protected with bolted anti-wear materials to withstand harsh conditions.

At the core of the UMM/S/EX is a heavy-duty type-C rotor that accommodates various tooth configurations for versatile applications. Side teeth help maintain a clean crushing chamber during operation.
