Fondo, Italy - FAE Group., a forestry machinery manufacturer, has expanded its tracked carrier lineup in the U.S. with the launch of the new PT200 and PT400 forestry machines, designed for demanding vegetation management, forestry clearing, firebreak creation and utility infrastructure applications.
The new PT200 replaces the PT175 and is powered by a 188 hp Cat C4.4 engine. It features a hydraulic system delivering 60 gallons per minute at 5,076 psi, an oscillating undercarriage, load control system and an operating weight of 18,960 pounds. The compact machine is aimed at forestry work in confined areas, including operations near power lines and gas pipelines.
For operator comfort, the PT200 includes a heated air-suspended seat, joystick controls, HVAC system, Lexan windshields and a 7-inch LCD display. It is compatible with FAE attachments such as the 140/U/PT forestry mulcher, 200/SC/PT stump cutter and dozer blade.
FAE has also introduced the larger PT400, powered by a 380 hp Cummins L9 engine. Positioned between the PT300 and PT550, the PT400 delivers 108 gallons per minute at 5,656 psi and has an operating weight of 27,095 pounds. The machine is designed for forest and woodland management, firebreak construction and work near utility infrastructure.
The PT400 also features an oscillating undercarriage, load control system, joystick controls, HVAC system, Lexan windshields and a 7-inch LCD display. Compatible attachments include FAE forestry mulchers, forestry tillers, stump cutters, multitask forestry heads and a dozer blade.
Alongside the new tracked carriers, FAE has launched the BL4/PT forestry mulcher, expanding its attachment offering for tracked forestry applications.
