FAE RQL/HY Forestry Mulchers for 10-15 Ton Excavators

Fondo, Italy - FAE Group S.p.A., a construction machinery manufacturer, has introduced its latest RQL/HY forestry mulcher lineup, designed for 10 to 15 metric-ton wheeled excavators. Available in widths of 66, 75, and 84 inches, these mulchers offer enhanced versatility and performance for various land-clearing applications.

The RQL/HY-125, RQL/HY-150, and RQL/HY-175 forestry mulchers manage vegetation, wildlife habitats, parks, and sports fields, shredding grass, shrubs, and trees up to 6 inches thick.

The RQL/HY-125, RQL/HY-150, and RQL/HY-175, requiring a hydraulic flow rate of 24-53 gallons per minute and operating at a pressure range of 2,600-5,080 PSI. Designed for excavators weighing 10-15 metric tons, these mulchers offer working widths of 49, 58, and 68 inches, with total widths of 66, 75, and 84 inches, respectively. Weighing between 1,235 and 1,477 pounds, they feature a 14.2-inch rotor diameter and can shred vegetation up to 6 inches thick. The models are equipped with 26, 32, and 36 C/3/MINI teeth, respectively, with optional configurations affecting weight and dimensions.

The FAE RQL/HY forestry mulcher features a direct-drive motor, providing a compact design that enhances maneuverability in tight spaces while minimizing maintenance requirements. Its integrated hydraulic block, equipped with a flow regulator valve, ensures efficient operation, while the built-in thumb bracket in the frame further reduces the head’s overall size for improved versatility and ease of use.

The RQL/HY forestry mulchers can be equipped with C/3/MINI teeth and BL/MINI blades. They come standard with a 32-cc hydraulic piston motor featuring a 12-volt diverter valve, while an optional 63-cc hydraulic piston motor with a 24-volt diverter valve and control box is also available. Additional options include a mechanically adjustable push frame, a support roller, and an attachment plate with a self-leveling device.
