Marktoberdorf, Germany – Fendt Tractors., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, is celebrating a major milestone for its 900 Vario tractor series as the 50,000th unit is set to roll off the production line in July 2026. The achievement also marks 30 years since the introduction of the Fendt 900 Vario series, which has become one of the company’s most successful high-horsepower tractor ranges.
The journey began in 1996 with the launch of the Fendt Favorit 926 Vario, which introduced the continuously variable Vario transmission technology. This innovation became a key foundation for the future development of Fendt tractors and helped establish the 900 Vario series in global agricultural markets.
Over seven generations, the Fendt 900 Vario has introduced several advanced technologies, including the Vario terminal, VarioGrip tyre pressure regulation system and tractor-specific ABS technology. The series has also achieved strong results in the DLG PowerMix efficiency tests and played an important role in expanding Fendt’s presence in markets such as the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
To celebrate the anniversary, Fendt has introduced a special limited-edition 900 Vario model inspired by the 2005 Fendt Design Line. The tractor features exclusive paintwork, a chrome package and five colour options: Black, Steel Blue, Fir Green, Black Red and Nature Green.
The anniversary edition includes special design elements such as an engraved door sill, floor mat with embroidered anniversary logo, bonnet badge with anniversary branding and a SuperComfort Titanium leather seat with an embroidered headrest.
Production of the special edition will be limited to 300 units worldwide, with orders now available through authorized Fendt dealers.
