Milan, Italy- Ferrari N.V., has revealed its latest creation, the 849 Testarossa Spider, a plug-in hybrid super sports car that succeeds the SF90 Spider and pushes the boundaries of design, performance, and innovation. Powered by a twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, the Spider delivers a record-breaking 1,050 cv, making it the most powerful production Ferrari to date.
The car combines coupé performance with the thrill of open-top driving, thanks to Ferrari’s retractable hardtop, operable in just 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 km/h. Aerodynamic refinements, including an innovative wind catcher, ensure comfort and stability at high speeds.
Design inspiration comes from Ferrari’s 1970s Sports Prototypes, with sharp lines and a futuristic yet historically rooted presence. Inside, the cockpit has been reimagined for greater ergonomics, featuring a redesigned steering wheel with mechanical controls, a refined HMI system, and immersive sound engineering that enhances the iconic Ferrari V8 tone.
The hybrid powertrain pairs an 830 cv twin-turbo V8 with a 220 cv electric system, achieving acceleration from 0–100 km/h in under 2.3 seconds and a top speed beyond 330 km/h. Enhanced aerodynamics generate 415 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, while advanced vehicle dynamics, Ferrari’s ABS Evo, and the Integrated Vehicle Estimator (FIVE) system ensure peak handling and precision.
Customization includes the Assetto Fiorano package for weight reduction and track-focused aerodynamics, plus exclusive new colors like Rosso Fiammante and Giallo Ambra. Clients also benefit from Ferrari’s seven-year maintenance program and extended hybrid warranties.
With its unparalleled blend of electrified power, refined design, and racing-inspired engineering, the 849 Testarossa Spider sets a new benchmark for open-top supercars, reaffirming Ferrari’s legacy while embracing the future of performance.
