Fultra acquires trailer OEM East

Randolph, United States- Fultra., the parent company of Fruehauf  announced the acquisition of East Manufacturing, an American producer of aluminum flatbed, drop deck, dump, round bottom, and trash trailers as well as steel dump trailers and aluminum truck bodies.

Mr. Jorge Martinez, CEO of Fultra said, “We are thrilled to welcome East Manufacturing to the family,” said. “East really fits with our vision to be the trusted solutions partner for the commercial vehicle market in North America. We are confident that our employees and communities as well as customers, dealers and suppliers, will benefit from our combined strengths. We are honored and proud to be the stewards of two iconic brands like East and Fruehauf in North America.”

Mr. Robert Bruce, co-founder of East, said that though a lot of companies eyed at buying East, Futura was selected on the basis of their employee relationship, customer and communities relationship.

Mr. Tom Wiseman who will take over the helm of East, as CEO of both East and Fruehauf Inc. commented that East would continue to function as a standalone entity comprising of the present management and employees.

Financial and legal counsel were provided to Fultra by Kaluz, S.A. de C.V. and Astudillo, Rodriguez y Gonzalez Sandoval and Duane Morris LLP, respectively. KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. provided East with advice, and Baker & Hostetler LLP provided legal counsel.
