Bangkok, Thailand- Geely Auto Group, showcasing its full new-energy lineup at the 42nd Thailand International Motor Expo in Bangkok, unveiled the all-electric SUV GEELY EX5, the plug-in hybrid GEELY STARRAY EM-i (GEELY EX5 EM-i in other markets), and officially launched the GEELY EX2, a B-segment electric urban vehicle designed for modern city living with smart, user-focused features.

In Thailand’s rapidly growing urban mobility market, the GEELY EX2 distinguishes itself with a strong design identity, a spacious interior, and a rear-wheel drive layout paired with a multi-link suspension. Its contemporary and expressive styling has earned recognition from the 2024 IDA Design Award and the Top Design honor at the 2024 European Product Design Award. Inside, the five-seat cabin offers an impressive 85% interior space utilization, a completely flat rear floor, and 36 storage compartments, including a 70-liter front trunk, delivering comfort and practicality for daily use.

The GEELY EX2 is engineered as a nimble and versatile solution for Thailand’s cities, offering precise handling and a tight turning radius that make it easy to maneuver in dense traffic. The rear-wheel drive configuration supports brisk acceleration in stop-and-go conditions, while its EV driving range is sufficient for weekend family activities and short trips across town.

Evin Ye, Vice President of Geely Auto International, commented, “The launch of the GEELY EX2, along with the first appearance of the GEELY STARRAY EM-i, further strengthens Geely Auto’s presence in Southeast Asia with an extensive electrified product portfolio, and aligns with our ongoing global growth strategy.”

The introduction of the GEELY EX2 at the Thailand International Motor Expo has been met with an outstanding market reaction, with pre-orders exceeding 1,000 units in just three days. This strong initial performance underscores the model’s appeal among Thai customers and validates Geely Auto’s confidence in its urban EV strategy for the region.

The launch also represents a key step in Geely Auto’s broader business ambitions in Thailand. To increase accessibility and enhance customer experience, the company is rapidly developing a nationwide retail and after-sales network in partnership with Thonburi Neustern Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Thonburi Group and an established local automotive specialist. By 2026, Geely Auto aims to expand this network to 65 locations, ensuring reliable support and service for customers across the country.
