São Paulo, Brazil- Geely Auto Group., a manufacturer of new energy vehicles, has expanded its global electric portfolio with the launch of the Geely EX2, its best-selling electric hatchback. The compact city EV made its debut in Brazil on November 6, marking a key milestone in Geely’s strategy to lead the global B-segment market toward a more refined and sustainable future.
Built on Geely’s GEA architecture, the EX2 combines sleek, modern styling with advanced technology and class-leading safety and performance. Measuring 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width, and 1,580 mm in height, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, the EX2 strikes an ideal balance between agility and interior space offering a refined urban driving experience with exceptional comfort and practicality.
The EX2 also sets new benchmarks in urban EV safety. It features the Geely Battery Safety System, a high-strength body structure, and a real-time temperature monitoring system to ensure optimal battery protection. Reinforced cabin engineering includes a cage body, #-shaped rear subframe, and tri-directional energy-absorbing structure, providing superior crash protection and structural integrity.
Before its official launch in China, the EX2 made its international debut at the 2024 Automechanika Frankfurt, reflecting Geely’s global ambitions. Known as Xingyuan in China, the model became the country’s best-selling vehicle from January to September 2025 and ranked second globally among BEVs in August 2025. By September, it had achieved a historic milestone surpassing 400,000 units sold in record time in the Chinese market.
The introduction of the EX2 strengthens Geely’s commitment to Brazil, following the successful launch of the Geely EX5 in August 2025, which quickly became a segment leader. Under the strategic partnership between Renault and Geely Holding, Renault do Brasil will manufacture Geely-branded zero- and low-emission vehicles at the Ayrton Senna plant, further supporting the brand’s regional growth.
