Geldhauser Adds 10 New Setra Buses

Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Neu-Ulm/Hofolding, Germany- Daimler Buses GmbH, a bus and coach manufacturer, is supplying Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr GmbH & Co. KG with ten new low-entry buses from the Setra MultiClass range, supporting the operator’s fleet modernisation and regional transport services.

Nine of the buses, each equipped with 45 seats, will operate on various routes in the Starnberg district on behalf of Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund GmbH (MVV).

Another low-floor bus, featuring 43 seats and an extended special-use area, will join the Alpenbus fleet. The vehicle will support express bus services connecting regions south of Munich directly with Murnau, Penzberg, Bad Tölz, Miesbach and Rosenheim along the Alpine corridor, reducing the need for passengers to travel via Munich.

All ten buses are equipped with the latest driver assistance and safety systems from Daimler Buses, with a focus on improving protection for drivers, passengers and other road users.

Among the key features is Sideguard Assist 2, which provides support on both sides of the two-axle buses during potentially hazardous turning and lane-changing situations. The system can detect moving obstacles within its operating limits and alerts the driver when a potential collision risk is identified.
