Bengaluru - Greaves Electric Mobility Ltd (GEML), a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, has entered the India Book of Records with its new electric three-wheeler, the Eltra City XTRA, for completing a 324 km journey on a single charge. The run, completed between Bengaluru and Ranipet, demonstrates the vehicle’s long-range capabilities under real-world conditions—well above its certified range of 170 km.

Powered by a 10.75 kWh IP67-rated LFP battery and a 9.5 kW motor, the Eltra City XTRA reaches a top speed of 60 km/h in Power Mode. It also offers advanced features like Climb Assist, making it ideal for urban gradients and high-load conditions.

The three-wheeler is equipped with a 6.2-inch PMVA digital display, Bluetooth-enabled navigation, and fleet-level IoT connectivity including Distance-To-Empty (DTE) readouts, geo-fencing, and remote diagnostics. Safety features include reinforced side panels, 12-inch radial tubeless tyres, rear visual barriers, and a 180 mm drum braking system for better control.

The Eltra City XTRA is priced at ₹3.57 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which is approximately $4,275 USD, and comes with a 5-year / 1.2 lakh km battery warranty and 3-year / 80,000 km vehicle warranty—making it a strong choice for commercial operators seeking a reliable and efficient electric mobility solution.
