Santa Monica, USA- Greenlane Infrastructure LLC., a developer of commercial EV charging networks, has partnered with Volvo Trucks North America LLC to enhance heavy-duty electric vehicle (HDEV) charging access and convenience for fleets and drivers. As Volvo’s first official Charge Point Operator (CPO) in North America, Greenlane will integrate its network into the Volvo Open Charge service.

This integration gives Volvo customers real-time access to Greenlane’s public charging network, centralized billing, and exclusive benefits, making the charging experience more seamless and efficient. By expanding public charging infrastructure, Greenlane also helps fleets avoid high upfront investment in private charging solutions—lowering capital costs, simplifying operations, and extending vehicle range.

Mr. Patrick Macdonald-King, CEO of Greenlane, said, "Our partnership with Volvo is a first-of-its-kind collaboration to deliver public charging solutions tailored to the needs of medium- and heavy-duty fleets. By streamlining the transition to electric fleets, we are providing a future-ready solution that keeps goods and services moving and drives meaningful progress toward zero-emissions freight transportation."

Greenlane will open its flagship charging location in Colton, California this April, offering over 40 publicly accessible chargers for heavy-, medium-, and light-duty zero-emission vehicles. This marks a significant milestone in Greenlane’s mission to build a nationwide commercial EV charging network. Along the I-15 corridor, Greenlane plans to open additional charging sites every 60 to 90 miles, with upcoming locations in Long Beach, Barstow, and Baker, CA.

This partnership with Volvo Trucks North America represents a major step forward in scaling the adoption of heavy-duty electric trucks. It reflects a shared commitment to delivering a seamless, end-to-end charging experience for fleet operators. Greenlane and Volvo will continue to expand integration with Volvo Open Charge, including new features such as reservation booking and other membership benefits.

By providing accessible, public charging infrastructure, Greenlane enables fleets to adopt electric vehicles without the burden of building and managing their own charging depots. This reduces upfront investment and operational complexity, helping customers focus on the transition to zero-emission transport and the future of clean logistics.
