Mumbai- GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., an Essar venture and India’s only green logistics provider operating LNG and electric-powered heavy commercial trucks, has partnered with Bekaert, in tire reinforcement technology, to drive the decarbonisation of road logistics and support India’s transition to a gas-based economy.

The partnership kicked off with the deployment of GreenLine’s LNG-powered trucks at Bekaert’s Ranjangaon plant, launching a pilot phase aimed at substantially cutting the carbon footprint of Bekaert’s logistics operations.

Each LNG truck from GreenLine is expected to reduce up to 24 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, directly supporting Bekaert’s goal of becoming carbon net-zero by 2050 and achieving 65% of its sales from sustainable solutions.

Mr. Anand Mimani, CEO, GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, said, “Our collaboration with Bekaert reflects the rising dedication of progressive companies to scale sustainable solutions. At GreenLine, we’re proud to deliver more than just green trucks — we provide a complete ecosystem, from LNG refueling to real-time telematics, enabling our partners to make real strides toward their net-zero ambitions.”

Mr. Dinesh Mukhedkar, Procurement Operations Lead South Asia and Procurement Global Shared Service Centre Lead, Bekaert, said, “As part of our purpose to ‘Establish the new possible’ and our ambition to lead with safe, smart, and sustainable solutions, decarbonising logistics is a vital step forward. It aligns seamlessly with our ESG commitments and long-term sustainability objectives.”

GreenLine’s growing fleet of LNG-powered trucks has already covered over 40 million kilometers, helping avoid more than 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. As part of its aggressive expansion, the company plans to deploy over 10,000 LNG and EV trucks, backed by a nationwide network of 100 LNG refueling stations, EV charging hubs, and battery swapping facilities — with the goal of cutting 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
