Damme, Germany - GRIMME Landmaschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, is offering its proven MultiSep roller separator for the RH 24 series receiving hoppers, expanding the availability of a cleaning system that has been successfully deployed for decades on the company’s trailed and self-propelled harvesters.
The MultiSep system is specifically designed to deliver efficient crop cleaning, particularly under heavy and wet harvesting conditions. It features four pairs of rollers, with each pair consisting of a segment roller equipped with four lips and a steel plain clod roller. For enhanced cleaning performance in challenging environments, the segment rollers and clod rollers can be operated in opposite directions. This active counter-rotation effectively separates moist soil and clods while also removing weeds and haulm from the crop stream.
Under lighter harvesting conditions, the roller pairs can be switched to transport mode, allowing all rollers to rotate in the direction of product flow. This ensures gentle handling and cleaning of potatoes, minimizing potential crop damage.
To further optimize performance, the rollers can be adjusted in both distance and height, enabling operators to adapt the MultiSep system precisely to varying soil and harvesting conditions. With this flexible configuration, Grimme continues to enhance efficiency and crop quality in modern potato harvesting operations.
