Seoul, South Korea- Hankook Tire & Technology Co., Ltd., a tire company, is supplying its high-performance Ventus S1 evo3 ev tires as original equipment for the new all-electric Porsche Macan. The tires are fitted in size 235/55R20Y XL for the front axle and 285/45R20Y XL for the rear, featuring the special “NE0” marking on the sidewall to indicate their Porsche-specific tuning.
Designed to meet the demands of the powerful electric SUV, the Ventus S1 evo3 ev delivers optimal power transfer and high driving stability, even under high torque conditions. Its advanced tread compound ensures superior grip in both wet and dry conditions, while also reducing rolling resistance to enhance driving range.
The tire’s center tread block provides additional stability, and its abrasion-resistant compound is tailored for the instant acceleration typical of electric vehicles. Inside the cabin, passengers benefit from a quieter ride, as the tread pattern is engineered to minimize road noise — a key factor for EVs where engine noise is absent.
Structurally, the tire features a robust carcass built to support the Macan’s 2.4-ton curb weight. This is achieved through the use of high-performance aramid hybrid cords, which reduce tread deformation at high speeds and improve handling stability during cornering and lane changes — ideal for a sporty, performance-driven vehicle like the Macan.
