Pune - HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd., a construction equipment manufacturer, has launched its new 20-ton Smart X Plus excavator series along with BS-V Wheel Loaders at its Chakan, Pune facility.

The Smart X Plus series includes five upgraded models — R210, R215, R215L, R230LM, and R245LR — designed to deliver superior performance across diverse terrains. These machines target the construction, mining, irrigation, and infrastructure sectors, strengthening Hyundai’s presence in key segments.

The BS-V Wheel Loaders, offered in 3-ton HL630I and 5-ton HL650I models, are built for high productivity, fuel efficiency, and durability. Designed for material handling in mining, quarrying, ports, and construction projects, they comply with government-mandated BS-V emission norms, ensuring lower operating costs and reliable performance in tough environments.

Mr. Cheolgon Choi, Global CEO of HD Hyundai CE, said, “Combining superior products with advanced automation will make Hyundai the preferred choice for customers across construction, infrastructure, ports, mining, and quarry sectors.”

The event featured a traditional Maharashtrian welcome, cultural performances, and addresses from company leadership. Seong Woo Shim, Managing Director of HD Hyundai CE India, added, “The Smart X Plus series reflects our commitment to building products that meet customer needs while delivering value, efficiency, and reliability, shaping the future of India’s construction equipment sector.”

With these new offerings, HD Hyundai expands its portfolio, providing advanced, environmentally compliant equipment solutions for the Indian market.
