Gyeonggi-do, South Korea- HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Co Ltd., has strengthened its global presence with a major contract to supply medium-sized excavators to the Philippines Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The order, totaling 122 units, includes 48 units of 21-ton and 74 units of 22-ton excavators, representing 36% of the company’s sales in the Philippines last year. The 22-ton model features an H-type undercarriage for superior rigidity and impact absorption, while its precision hydraulic system improves fuel efficiency and productivity.
HD Hyundai Construction Equipment will supply 122 units of excavators to the DPWH from this month through March for flood prevention work along the Labangan River on Mindoro Island, which is prone to flooding. The company’s localized sales and service strategy, with offices on major islands, played a key role in securing the contract. Additionally, the stable logistics network from its Indonesian subsidiary’s parts supply center contributed to the success.
